Welcome to my Home Page! On this page you will find links to many of my business interests and also links to some community projects that I am involved with.
It is amazing to me that I have almost spent three decades in the computer industry. From Mainframes, to mini's (Dec VAX's) and then onto Micro computers which were
then networked together and finally the Client Server systems which have prevailed until now.
My background however is software and having gone through the technical
ranks I then moved onto implementations and finally sales. This route leaves me in the privileged position of understanding commercial realities, client needs and speaking in
a language they understand as
well as being able to work closely with technical staff.
Business today is very different with the ongoing development in the Internet. Huge changes are afoot in the way we work and play. IPS, my own business now forms part of a virtual group SME7 which delivers a wide range of resources from independent businesses working closely together. This would have been almost impossible before, but the Internet means
we are all connected in one big enormous network.
I have recently completed my first book 'in 2 The Clouds' where I have mapped out the 7 steps that lead businesses through the challenges of the '21st
century way of working' and how they can tap into our common goals of ... more profit, more time and more choice.
We are living in exciting times, the Internet has delivered much already, but it promises much more too!!

I have been twittering since August 2008, I'm now finally starting to feel comfortable with the tool. I think like many people at the start, I rushed off headlong in one direction or another thinking i've got what twitter is about. Probably we all rethink our use of twitter over time as we understand how we are engaging with others and they with us through this interesting medium. Live Web a new
term for the millions of us reporting what is going on right now anywhere in the world means we can connect to others instantly like never before!
