Entrepreneurs often leave a string of loved ones behind in their quest for success, wives, children, family and friends are brushed aside as the demands placed upon us and our business increase.
Ironically the more successful the business the worse it gets, something has to change or it will break.
The message above is a familiar story... and one that I have personally tussled with in my business life. So how then do we effect a change in this pattern without destroying that which we have built ?
IPS Mindset is about working out what we really want from our life in all its facets, work, private, financial, social, spiritual and mapping out a plan to deliver it. We do need to know where we're heading,
if we stand any chance of reaching the destination!
Something often overlooked by many (by me also for a while) and brought home during Xmas festivities particularly, is that we're often waiting to 'get there' before we 'take the breaks off' and enjoy
life (or whatever it is). What are we waiting for? Life... is the journey, if we don't enjoy the journey it will have been another example of a 'Near Life Experience!'.
To the left are a few recommended books that have proved helpful in crystalising this thinking and which can get us on the right road. None of it matters though without ACTION. To read the book and
then pop it back on the shelf is of no value. These are not novels they are exercise books!
The business world is changing, irreversibly! If we are to adapt we must first change our own thinking. Once we understand WE must change to EFFECT change, then the process has begun. This is the hard
part over. Plotting the course to our destination and getting on board for the ride is the fun part!
